Characteristics of the Galapagos lobster<\/h2>\n

The Galapagos lobsters are characterized by the absence of claws.<\/strong> They have two front horns on the carapace, numerous dorsal spines, as well as large, thick antennae with spines. The body length<\/strong> of this specimen averages<\/strong> about 300 mm (30 cm)<\/strong>, although males are generally larger than females<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main visible difference between the two species of lobsters that inhabit the Galapagos<\/strong> is the color of their bodies, which <\/span>are red<\/strong> \ud83e\udd9e <\/span>and green<\/strong>, a characteristic from which they are named. It is important to note that, in Galapagos, <\/span>the green lobster tends to be larger than the red one<\/strong>. The <\/span>diet of these crustaceans<\/strong> includes small mollusks, other crustaceans, sea urchins, and organic matter.<\/span>
