Every year, on 23rd\u00a0May<\/strong>, people from all over the world commemorate World Turtle Day.<\/strong> This initiative emerged in 2000 and aims to raise awareness<\/strong> among all people about this species<\/strong>. The Galapagos Islands<\/strong> are a well-known place for being the habitat<\/strong> of the sea turtles and giant tortoises.
