Since its discovery, the Galapagos Islands<\/strong> have fascinated with its charm and its magnificent species<\/strong>. Not for nothing were they called \u201cthe enchanted islands\u201d. These islands, which were key to the work of a young named Charles Darwin<\/strong><\/a>; who, astonished by the adaptability of the animals on the islands, made great advances in his theory of evolution<\/strong>. Since those days of exploration have passed almost 500 years<\/strong>. And yet there is much more to know about this amazing archipelago.<\/p>\n

The Galapagos Islands emerged as a product of volcanic activity<\/strong> about 5 million years ago. And even today it continues to expand due to volcanic activity.<\/p>\n

In addition, this archipelago is considered one of the most active in the world, behind Hawaii<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The best hiding places in the Galapagos Islands<\/h2>\n

The hiding places<\/strong> are most easily reached by cruise<\/a><\/strong> and are a must when you visit the \u201cEnchanted Islands\u201d, for that reason we provide some general info. The remaining is up to you!<\/p>\n

Cormorant Point<\/strong> or Mail Bay<\/strong>, located on Floreana Island<\/strong> are some of these historic and hiding places that can be reached only by a cruise. On this island, you will discover the habitat of species and great panoramas.<\/p>\n

On the San Cristobal Island<\/strong>, places like Brujo Hill<\/strong>, Point Pitt<\/strong> or Kicker Rock<\/strong>, are a few of the most iconic and charming places due to its colored panoramas or by the endemic species that are nesting on this island.<\/p>\n

The Tagus Cove<\/strong>\u00a0in Isabela island and the Twin Craters<\/strong> located on Santa Cruz Island<\/strong>,\u00a0there are amazing places because of its geological landscapes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Places like this can be reached by hiking or by dinghy, and you will explore the different environments of the archipelago. Or if you prefer, swim whit sea lions, turtles, or a variety of tropical fishes.<\/p>\n
