New biosafety protocols
As of July 1st, this beautiful archipelago will resume its tourist activities both on land and on cruise ships, after almost three months in which the entry for tourists was prohibited due to COVID-19.
Therefore, if you are planning to travel to the islands, we would like to let to know several biosafety measures implemented by the National Committee for Operations and Emergencies (COE).
Tourists or passers-by:
- Count with the negative result of a real-time PCR test of the nasopharyngeal swab for detection of COVID-19, of maximum 96 hours before the trip, counting from the sampling.
- In the case of foreign tourists who have Certificates of negative results from authorized laboratories in their origin countries within the times established in this protocol at the time of entry to the islands, they may present that document as an enabler.
- In the case of national or foreign tourists, they need to have a letter of safe-passage for organized groups (Ask more info to your Travel company or Cruises company) issued by the Ministry of Tourism, which exempts them from compliance with Mandatory Preventive Isolation on the islands.
- Cover the expenses related to obtaining the requirements issued in this protocol to be able to travel. (Only if it is necessary)
- These migratory categories are excepted from the Mandatory Preventive Isolation.
