Officially the skies of Ecuador reopened since last June 1st The “Mariscal Sucre” International Airport (UIO) of Quito resumed their activities with several protocols of biosafety, as well as the rest of the Ecuador commercial airports for all travelers that will arrive at Ecuador.

“After several weeks closed to prevent COVID-19 infections, finally the Ecuador skies reopening and the air traffic comes again to the country, all of this is a part of the government’s plan for the economic and social recovery of the country.”

Therefore, the strict organization and implementation of biosafety protocols by QUIPORT the Company that manages Quito’s airport guarantees the safety of travelers from all parts of the world.

The operations in Quito International Airport “Mariscal Sucre” resumed the last June 1st, under strict biosafety protocols by QUIPORT Co.

Airlines gradually will resume operations

Airlines gradually resume operations and they will progressively join their procedures in Quito’s airport. In addition, you can check on the official channels of each airline, or view more official information for free and safe on the report of Quito Council “PLANNING OF AERONAUTIC REACTIVATION TO THE QUITO DESTINATION”.

Below you will find the airlines that have confirmed operations to and from Quito, in the coming weeks:

  • United States: American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, and United Airlines
  • Canada: Air Canada
  • Mexico: Interjet and Aeroméxico
  • Brazil: Gol
  • Colombia and Peru: Avianca and Wingo
  • Other major airlines due to their connectivity with other destinations and the city of Quito: Copa Airlines and Latam

Europe

  • Spain: Iberia, Plus Ultra and Air Europa
  • France and the Netherlands: Air France and KLM

We must mention that LATAM has reported its biosecurity measures with the inclusion of HEPA standard air filters, that will allow renewing the air in the cabins of their aircraft every 3 minutes, eliminating 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, more details in the next video.
