IN ECUADOR, THERE ARE TWO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS: THE MARISCAL SUCRE IN QUITO AND JOSÉ JOAQUÍN DE OLMEDO IN GUAYAQUIL, both of them have connections to the two domestic airports in Galapagos: one located in the San Cristobal Island and the other one in the Baltra Island, although there is an airport on Isabela, this one is used for inter-island flights only.
Tips for the trip
The baggage allowance depends on the class in which the ticket is purchased, if you buy with us we guarantee the luggage for hold of 23 kg and hand luggage 8 kg.
Most of the flights depart from Quito to Guayaquil with a duration of one hour approximately the plane makes a stop in Guayaquil for 45 minutes in order to depart to Galapagos in an approximately two hours’ flight. Occasionally, there are direct flights from Quito to Baltra that last approximately two hours and thirty minutes.
Upon arrival in the Galapagos Islands all flights are sanitized for pest control to avoid introduction of external species. The product used is non-toxic to humans.
BEFORE BOARDING
YOUR FLIGHT TO GALAPAGOS YOU MUST FULFILL THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
OBTAIN THE TRANSIT CONTROL CARD, a mandatory requirement to take the flight, payment must be made in cash only at the Galapagos Government counter located in each airport.

Airline CHECK IN.
COMPLETE THE IMMIGRATION PROCESS at the Galapagos Islands airport where you must pay the entrance fee to the National Park, in cash only. Please ask your advisor for current rates.
